Community Music is a global artist services & distribution alternative. The core CM team work out of offices in Melbourne & LA, with our product developer based in New York. We deliver and communicate directly to and with Spotify out of home market for the world.
Community Music provides a framework of support that enables artists to enhance their independence. WithFull Support & Self-Sufficient models, as well as Additional Resources available, artists have the freedom to determine the level of engagement and support they require from Community for their release or catalogue.
Full Support
This model provides engaged services and tools for an independent release:
- Global Distribution + profile setup across all DSPs.
- DSP strategy coordination and pitching.
- Access to best practice guides and resources to assist with shaping and facilitating campaign strategy.
- Specialized advice on release schedule best practices, marketing, and audience development.
- Direct support from the Community team throughout the campaign.
In Short: This model is a more hands-on, full-service option.
Self Sufficient
This model provides global distribution and resources for a self-sufficient release:
- Global Distribution + profile setup across all DSPs.
- Guidance on DSP strategy and pitching best practices.
- Access to best practice guides and resources to assist with shaping and facilitating campaign strategy independently.
In Short: This model is a more resource-based, self-sufficient option.
Additional Resources
Marketing
We have a global digital marketing infrastructure that can be accessed and utilized, along with expertise in building and coordinating various marketing/PR/radio teams and resources globally. Budgets for the access and activation of any of these additional resources are to be determined based on what you/the artist requests & requires, and would be recouped accordingly.
Funding
Can be discussed in terms of access to funding support for the project. Please note that any funding that is approved would be recoupable and lead to the term being adjusted.
Physical
Coordination of global physical production and distribution can be facilitated by Community Music, pending review of the particular project and it meeting the required unit threshold.
Term
Dependent on specific resources required, but the starting point for either model outlined above prior to incorporating any additional resources is a 3-year term from the release of the core album or EP product.
Commitment
No future commitment on top of the album/EP/project being discussed.
Total control and fluidity remain with the artist.
